01 / A MATERIAL, A MEMORY, A LIVELIHOOD
Heritage is more than what remains standing.
Lime masonry joins brick or stone with a lime-based mortar; lime also forms protective plasters and decorative finishes. But a wall holds more than a binder. It holds the mason’s judgement, an apprentice’s years of learning, and the work of a household.
As demand shifts towards quicker construction, knowledge can disappear between generations. HistoryLensZindaVirasat brings oral accounts, real field photographs and material research together, while connecting the people who carry this craft with those who need their skills.
