“ਗਾਹਕ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਕਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਮੇਰਾ ਬੰਗਲਾ 15 ਦਿਨਾਂ ਚ ਤਿਆਰ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਚੂਨਾ ਕਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਮੈਨੂੰ 30 ਦਿਨ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਪਕਣ ਲਈ ਚਾਹੀਦੇ ਨੇ। ਜਦੋਂ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੇ ਪੈਸੇ ਦੀ ਦੌੜ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋਈ, ਤਾਂ ਚੂਨਾ ਹਾਰ ਗਿਆ ਤੇ ਸੀਮਿੰਟ ਜਿੱਤ ਗਿਆ। ਪਰ ਇਹ ਜਿੱਤ ਇਮਾਰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਹੈ।”

ENGLISH TRANSLATION

“A client comes and demands, “I want my bungalow finished in 15 days.” Lime says, “I need 30 days just to mature in the pit.” When the race for time and money took over, lime lost and cement won. But that victory is the death of craftsmanship.”
