“ਚੂਨੇ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਸਾਹ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਸੀ। ਗਰਮੀਆਂ ਚ ਅੰਦਰ ਠੰਢ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਸੀ ਤੇ ਸਰਦੀਆਂ ਚ ਨਿੱਘ। ਹੁਣ ਲੋਕ ਕੰਕਰੀਟ ਦੇ ਡੱਬੇ ਬਣਾਉਂਦੇ ਨੇ, ਫਿਰ ਅੰਦਰ ਏ.ਸੀ. ਲਾਉਂਦੇ ਨੇ। ਅਸੀਂ ਕੁਦਰਤ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਚੱਲਦੇ ਸੀ, ਇਹ ਕੁਦਰਤ ਨਾਲ ਲੜ ਰਹੇ ਨੇ। ਇਹੀ ਵਜ੍ਹਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਅੱਜ ਘਰਾਂ ਚ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹੀ।”

ENGLISH TRANSLATION

“Lime homes breathed. In summer, the interiors stayed naturally cool; in winter, warm. Today, people build concrete boxes and then bolt air conditioners onto the walls. We worked in harmony with nature; they are fighting against nature. That is precisely why there is no peace inside homes today.”
